Alan is an experienced technologist with over ten years experience
with technology companies and scientific research. Most recently
Alan was Director of Corporate Finance at McCabe, an Edinburgh
based firm of chartered accountants. During his two years
at McCabe, Alan was responsible for advising and securing
start-up financing for technology companies throughout the
UK. Prior to this Alan was Chief Executive of Dundee Incubator
Ltd, a technology Incubator company offering premises, start-up
and business development advice and mentoring services to
early stage technology companies in Dundee. Prior to this
Alan spent a year with the technology transfer office of the
University of Dundee marketing their intellectual property
rights. Previously, Alan founded and managed Mastech Associates,
a Glasgow based diagnostics company following a three-year
spell in academic research at the University of Strathclyde.
Alan
holds a BSc in Chemistry and biochemistry, a post-graduation
diploma in pharmacology and a MBA specialising in International
banking and finance.
